Job Title: PRN Nursing Aide (CNA)

Job Summary:
Crane Memorial Hospital is currently seeking PRN (as-needed) Nursing Aides to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a PRN Nursing Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing basic and supportive patient care functions under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. Your responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining a safe patient environment, and contributing to a collaborative team effort with healthcare professionals. This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to make a positive impact on patient care.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of high school or GED preferred.
Personal Skills:
Demonstrated ability in nurse-aide practice, including strong oral and written skills.
Licensure/Certification:
Certification as a Nurse Aide by the State of Texas is preferred.
Current CPR certification is required.
Experience:
One year of experience as a nurse aide; acute care experience is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Skills:
Provide patient care within the scope of practice for Nurse Aides.
Assist with ADLs, patient hygiene, and vital sign monitoring.
Accurately record and report intake and output (I&O) findings to the charge RN.
Recognize and promptly report abnormalities in the patient's condition to the charge nurse.
Maintain mandatory CPR certification.
Productivity:
Prioritize duties and assignments appropriately.
Perform duties within scheduled shifts.
Utilize downtime effectively, including unit housekeeping and restocking supplies.
Respond promptly to call lights.
Demonstrate willingness to assist co-workers.
