Job Title: PRN Staff Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job Summary:
Crane Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a PRN (as-needed) Staff LVN to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a PRN Staff LVN, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support as a vocational nurse in patient care. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, medication administration, and working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients. This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to the health and wellness of our rural community.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of a school of vocational nursing.
Evidence of continuing education.
Personal Skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice, including strong oral and written communication skills.
Licensure/Certification:
Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the State of Texas.
Current CPR certification required.
Experience:
One year of experience in general nursing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Skills:
Provide age-specific care, assessment, charting, and patient teaching.
Administer medications following hospital policy, including documentation and stock management.
Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Assist physicians with procedures and maintain mandatory nursing licensure and certifications, including CPR.
Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
Productivity:
Prioritize duties and assignments appropriately.
Adhere to scheduled shifts and utilize downtime effectively.
Maintain awareness of unit status and assist co-workers as needed.
