Clinic LVN - Crane Rural Health Clinic
Job Title: Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location: Crane Rural Health Clinic, Crane, Texas
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Crane Rural Health Clinic. The LVN will perform a variety of client care activities, ensuring the efficient operation of clinic services while maintaining high standards of patient care. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining clinic supplies and fostering a caring environment for clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
Experience in caring for clients across various developmental levels.
Ability to maintain competence in clinical practice and fulfill licensing requirements through ongoing education.
Personal Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clinic staff and administrative personnel.
Demonstrated ability to promote and maintain a caring climate for client care.
Strong organizational skills to manage nursing records, schedules, and inventory efficiently.
Performing Requirements:
Responsible for maintaining necessary information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Keeps complete nursing records, schedules referral appointments for clients, maintains pharmaceutical logs, and manages inventory.
Exercises sound judgment in participating in Performance Improvement activities and adhering to safe working habits.
Job Responsibilities:
Initiate health histories and obtain necessary specimens.
Perform CLIA approved lab procedures.
Administer medications and immunizations.
Perform respiratory therapy treatments and TB testing.
Calibrate equipment and assist in procedures as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Physical requirements: Must be able to handle constant movement.
Mental requirements: Tactful interaction with both employees and patients.
Work Environment:
May come in contact with potentially infectious agents and handle waste disposal.
Equipment Used:
Glucometer, ECG recorder, CLIA waived lab tests, computer, nebulizer with compressor, sphygmomanometer, and stethoscope.
Other:
Will perform additional duties as requested by the Nurse Practitioner or Administrator.
Flexibility to perform multiple duties as required.
